The Kazakhstan Embassy has warned about new measures to combat illegal immigration in the United States, Orda reports.
Kazakhstan citizens without a valid visa or green card may now face serious consequences, including:
- Deportation
- Ban on re-entering the US
- Loss of work permits and social benefits
- Possible detention
However, those who voluntarily leave the United States may receive lighter penalties.
This measure will help avoid forced deportation and entry bans when reapplying for a US visa, the Kazakhstan Embassy in the US stated.
The Embassy advises Kazakh citizens to monitor immigration law changes through official resources such as the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the US Department of State.
Recently, US Border Security Coordinator Thomas Homan announced that military aircraft would be deporting hundreds of migrants daily from the country.
