The sanctions list was published on the official website of the President of Ukraine, Orda.kz reports.
The document, released on May 1, names nine individuals, including Oleksiy Arestovych, former adviser to the Ukrainian presidential office and once a close associate of Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The list includes 17 types of restrictions, such as asset freezes, bans on business activities, media distribution, and revocation of state awards.
Arestovych served as an adviser from Zelenskyy’s election in 2019 until January 2023, when he resigned after publicly suggesting that a Ukrainian air defense missile may have caused the strike on a residential building in Dnipro — an assumption he later admitted was incorrect.
Later that year, Arestovych became an outspoken critic of Zelenskyy and declared his intention to run for president. He currently resides in the United States.
