Kazakhstan's President addressed the situation in Ukraine during his speech at the "City of Working Professions" festival in Astana.
"We promote the ideology of 'Unity in Diversity.' Despite belonging to different nationalities and faiths, we are one society, one people. I call on all of you to understand this profound process. Only on this foundation will we achieve success.
Now, there is much talk about Ukraine. From the very beginning, we have advocated for ending the war, for reaching agreement through diplomatic negotiations. Our position is becoming a reality — two major powers have started a political dialogue.
This is a positive trend, and it will benefit Kazakhstan as well. Therefore, we will support this trend as much as possible," the president said.
Qasym-Jomart Toqayev emphasized the importance of maintaining stability in the country.
The President's statement follows reports on forthcoming talks to end the war against Ukraine, which were announced by U.S. President Donald Trump.
