Two Almaty Region Residents Accused of Child Abuse, Police Detained Suspects

A 16-year-old girl was kidnapped and abused in the Almaty region. One of the suspects is an employee of the office of the Akim of Masak rural district, Orda.kz reports.
NeMolchi reported the violence against the teenager.
They assauted the girl, burned her with cigarettes, drowned her in the river, committed sexual violence, forced the teenager to kiss their hands and feet, filmed everything on video. And they demanded three million tenge, for this amount they promised not to distribute the video materials,the foundation said.
NeMolchi reported that police mishandled sensitive data, leading to the personal information of both the victim and the suspects — including addresses and phone numbers — appearing online.
It is alleged that everything happened on August 16, and the prosecutor, in a conversation with the girl’s parents, asked them not to spread information about what happened on social networks.
We received comments from the police. They said that a criminal case had already been opened and an investigation was underway.
The female suspects were detained and sent to a detention center. Information about the alleged leak of personal data of participants in the criminal process is being checked by specialists, explained the Almaty Region Police Department.
Those responsible for the abuse of the 16-year-old girl will be held strictly accountable.
