Turkmenistan and Tajikistan: Presidents Issue Pardons

On March 20, in honor of the sacred Gadir Gijesi (Night of Power), President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow signed a decree pardoning 321 citizens, releasing them from further imprisonment, Orda reports, citing Turkmenportal.com.
Similarly, in Tajikistan, President Emomali Rahmon signed a decree pardoning 897 incarcerated persons in celebration of the International Navruz holiday, according to AsiaPlus.
