Trump May Meet Zelenskyy in New York Next Week, Rubio Days

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Sept. 16 in Tel Aviv that President Donald Trump may meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in New York next week, Orda.kz reports, citing The Kyiv Independent.
World leaders will gather there on Sept. 22 for the U.N. General Assembly’s annual session.
He (Trump) is trying to do everything possible to bring the war to an end. The president had multiple calls with (Russian President Vladimir) Putin, multiple meetings with Zelenskyy, including probably next week again in New York,Rubio said.
Kyiv has not commented on the possible meeting. At the time of the report, The Kyiv Independent reached out to Zelenskyy’s office.
The meeting would come as Trump’s efforts to end Russia’s war against Ukraine enter their eighth month without tangible results.
