Trial Hears Details of Armed Attack on Shymkent Deputy Akim

At the trial concerning the attack on the deputy akim of Shymkent, they spoke about the work of Yernar Zhiembay and the details of the incident, Orda.kz reports.
At today's hearing, witnesses were given the floor, including employees of the akimat.
Deputy Akim's assistant, Talap Rakhymberdiev, reported that the accused, Yernar Zhiembay, had serious shortcomings in his work:
"He came to the reception unprepared, without presentations, although we warned him to bring a report. He was dressed sloppily, without a suit and tie. A leader should look formal."
Rakhymberdiev told the court. Zhiembay also failed to complete the task of preparing slides with information on the use of funds by the company Turgyn uy Shymkent, added the assistant to the deputy akim.
We told him to make materials a day in advance, but nothing was presented. Two days later, Zhiembay called: 'Where is Ruslan? I'll go to his home.' He was told to observe subordination. After the decision to dismiss, he threatened to kill himself or Ruslan Berdenov. I told him: 'Does a person have to die over this?'
An employee of the Shymkent construction department also testified. He noted that at meetings, Berdenov often warned about possible inspections by the Anti-Corruption Agency and the Department of Economic Investigations.
Witness Kenzhebekov, an employee of the HR department of LLP Turgyn uy Shymkent, was laconic in court. Allegedly, he did not know about the conflict between the two.
Eyewitnesses to the attack also gave testimony:
When the shots rang out, it sounded like fireworks. A car sped past us. I ran out and saw Berdenov lying on the ground, covered in blood, Zhiembay had already been detained. I took off my vest and put it under his head. At that time, he was reading a prayer. Zhiembay was shouting: 'This is my wife. I'm getting a divorce because of you. I'll kill you anyway!'
the young woman said during the trial.
A friend of Zhiembay, with whom he was planning to go hunting on the day of the attack, also testified. They have known each other for 15 years. According to him, the meeting did not take place because he was urgently called home.
Initially, he was a suspect in the case, but later became a witness. Prosecutors pointed out that his testimony was contradictory, and the defense added that the friend had lost his driver's license, but continued to drive.
The defendant's wife, Luiza Aldanova, is expected to speak at the next hearing.
Earlier, Zhiembay himself admitted that the motives for the attack were jealousy and a work conflict. According to him, Berdenov "liked" a photo of his wife, insulted him at work, and mentioned Akim Gabit Syzdykbaev.
Ruslan Berdenov denies all these accusations.
He does not attend the hearings because he is undergoing treatment and preparing for surgery.
