Qasym-Jomart Toqayev spoke at the Expo exhibition center and congratulated Kazakhstanis on Nauryz, Orda.kz reports.
The President noted the importance of Nauryz, underscoring that this is a holiday of renewal and good deeds, traditionally associated with a generous dastarkhan, support for those in need, and the unity of the people.
The national holiday Nauryz - Ulystyn Uly Kuni - is an integral part of the original Kazakh traditions. From time immemorial, on the day of the vernal equinox, our ancestors celebrated this bright holiday, personifying the renewal of vital forces. This year's celebration again coincided with the holy month of Ramadan. This has great symbolic significance, since our traditions are deeply intertwined with religion, Toqayev said.
He recalled that this year marks the anniversaries of the Constitution, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, and the Great Victory, and the 40th anniversary of Independence is ahead.
Our task is to adapt the country to new geopolitical realities. The goals and priorities of our state are clear, added the head of state.
With the words, "We have no other homeland except Kazakhstan," the President urged everyone to unite.
