Toqayev to Host Several Foreign Leaders and Attend Major International Events This Week

Qasym-Jomart Toqayev is preparing for a busy diplomatic schedule, Orda.kz reports.
From May 28 onward, Astana will host official and working visits from heads of state and government, alongside a major international forum.
Rwandan President Paul Kagame will arrive for an official visit on May 28–29. The two sides are expected to discuss bilateral cooperation and sign several agreements.
On May 28, Toqayev will also meet with Anke Rehlinger, President of the Bundesrat of Germany.
That same day, North Macedonian President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković will begin working visits to Kazakhstan.
On May 29, the President will participate in the Astana International Forum (AIF), where he will meet with heads of delegations, international organizations, and global companies.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is scheduled to make an official visit on May 30. That day, Astana will also host the first Central Asia–Italy summit, bringing together regional leaders.
To close out the week, on May 31, Toqayev will attend a memorial event honoring the victims of political repression and famine.
