Toqayev Sets Environmental and Economic Priorities for East Kazakhstan's New Akim

During the meeting with the President, the newly appointed Akim of East Kazakhstan, Nurymbet Saktaganov, outlined the region’s achievements in 2024 and presented plans for 2025, Orda.kz reports.
He assured that by the end of 2025, 100% of the region’s population will have access to clean drinking water. To achieve this, eight water supply projects worth 14 billion tenge are set to be completed.
Additionally, over the next two years, the region plans to attract 1.5 trillion tenge in investments, build 700,000 square meters of housing, construct 28 social facilities, and repair 600 km of roads.
Toqayev has instructed to prioritize environmental and transport issues, foster economic development, expand processed product exports, and attract further investments.
