Toqayev Sends Condolences to China Following Earthquake in Tibet

Qasym-Jomart Toqayev sent a telegram of condolences to Xi Jinping, the president of the People's Republic of China, addressing the tragic impacts of the recent earthquake in the city of Shigatse, Xizang Autonomous Region of China, Orda reports.
The President conveyed heartfelt condolences for the tragic losses and the many people affected, emphasizing the severity of the situation.
On behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and himself, the President expressed sincere condolences to the President of the PRC, the families of the victims and the amicable Chinese people, and also wished a speedy recovery to all those injured.
Earlier, it was reported that a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 occurred in the Tibet Autonomous Region of southwestern China.
The disaster caused extensive damage in the affected area, with the latest reports confirming 95 deaths.
