President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev was greeted at Ankara’s Esenboğa Airport by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — a rare gesture underscoring Toqayev’s status, Orda.kz reports.
A guard of honor was assembled at the foot of the aircraft, and Ankara’s main streets were decorated with welcome banners ahead of the visit.

Toqayev thanked Erdoğan for the personal reception:
It’s a great honor that you came to the airport to greet me personally. There are no disagreements between our countries — we are connected by not only friendship, but also productive cooperation. Tomorrow, we will hold important talks.

After a brief exchange at the airport, the two leaders traveled together into the capital.
On Tuesday, July 29, Toqayev and Erdoğan will hold bilateral talks focused on strengthening the Kazakh–Turkish partnership.
