Toqayev Received Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Deputies

Qasym-Jomart Toqayev met with the newly appointed deputy chair of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, Dmitry Ostankovich, and Rasul Akhmetov, and congratulated them on their new roles, Orda.kz reports, citing Aqorda.
The President emphasized the Assembly's crucial role in fostering social harmony and national unity.
During the meeting, Toqayev was briefed on the upcoming preparations for the XXXIV session of the Assembly and events marking the organization's 30th anniversary. He emphasized that all ethnocultural associations and ANC structures should actively participate in the anniversary initiatives.
Toqayev also issued several instructions regarding the further development of interethnic policy.
Earlier today, changes in the assembly's leadership were announced.
Lugmara Bularova and Yuri Shin were relieved of their positions as deputy chairs. They were succeeded by Rasul Akhmetov, a representative of the Ahiska Turkish ethnocultural association, and Dmitry Ostankovich, head of the Belarusian association "Rodny Kut".
