On the sidelines of the Astana International Forum, President of Kazakhstan Qasym-Jomart Toqayev met with Laurent Saint-Martin, France’s Minister-Delegate for Foreign Trade, Orda.kz reports.
They discussed cooperation in the fields of energy and the nuclear industry. France is one of the candidates to serve as a contractor for the construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan. Alongside French company EDF, other contenders include Korea’s KHNP, China’s CNNC, and Russia’s Rosatom.
