Toqayev Meets with Heads of Global Companies in New York

During his visit to New York, Qasym-Jomart Toqayev met with the heads of major companies working with Kazakhstan, Orda.kz reports.
His first meeting was with Cameco Corporation President Tim Gitzel. The parties discussed prospects for the development of the uranium industry. Toqayev noted that the company has invested more than $500 million in Kazakhstan and has become a reliable partner of Kazatomprom.
The president emphasized that Kazakhstan is entering a new era in the energy sector, with plans to build three nuclear power plants, and expressed interest in Cameco's innovative technologies.



Toqayev then met with Jared Cohen, President of Goldman Sachs Global Institute. They discussed projects on financial digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence. Toqayev noted that Kazakhstan is striving for digital status and is interested in joint initiatives with a leading American bank.
A meeting was also held with Amit Sevak, President and CEO of the Educational Testing Service (ETS). The President of Kazakhstan emphasized the importance of ETS's experience in educational testing and expressed his willingness to apply best practices to reform Kazakhstan's education system.
ETS develops more than 50 million tests annually in 180 countries and plans to expand its international presence.
