Toqayev Meets Mirziyoyev Ahead of Central Asia–EU Summit

President of Kazakhstan Qasym-Jomart Toqayev met with the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Toqayev emphasized the importance of the upcoming "Central Asia – European Union" summit and expressed confidence that the event would strengthen dialogue between the region and the EU, Orda.kz reports, citing Aqorda.
The two leaders highlighted the success of their recent informal meeting in Almaty and noted the strong momentum in bilateral relations. Both reaffirmed their readiness to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation.
Toqayev arrived in Samarkand to participate in the "Central Asia – EU" summit and the international conference "Central Asia in the Face of Global Climate Threats." He also held talks with several other officials.
Central Asian presidents continued discussions in an informal setting while in Samarqand.
