Toqayev, German Bundesrat Head Discuss AI, Reforms, and Transport Corridor

President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev held a meeting with Anke Rehlinger, head of the German Bundesrat, on May 28 to discuss the development of bilateral cooperation in key sectors, Orda.kz reports.
Toqayev emphasized that Germany remains one of Kazakhstan’s most important European partners and leads in investment in Kazakhstan's economy. He noted his recent visit to Berlin, where he held productive talks with President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Today, it is important for Kazakhstan to focus on the development of infrastructure projects, digitalization, artificial intelligence, transport logistics, and agriculture,Toqayev said, adding that reform efforts are ongoing, particularly in the judicial and law enforcement systems.
Anke Rehlinger stated that Germany views Kazakhstan as a stable and reliable partner in Central Asia. The two also discussed strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties and expanding parliamentary cooperation between the countries.
Previously, during the Kazakhstan-Germany business forum, President Toqayev announced 66 joint projects worth $55 billion and invited German companies to localize production under the label “Made in Kazakhstan with German quality.”
