Toqayev Discusses Xi Jinping’s Upcoming Visit with Senior Chinese Official

Kazakh President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev met with Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the Chinese Communist Party’s Central Committee, to discuss the upcoming visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Astana, Orda.kz reports.
During the meeting, Toqayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to the “One China” policy and highlighted the strength of bilateral ties.
According to a statement from the presidential office, Toqayev emphasized that “the everlasting comprehensive strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China is on an upward trajectory and focused on the future.”
The phrase “everlasting partnership” echoes earlier remarks by Han Chunlin, China’s ambassador to Kazakhstan.
