According to Bozumbayev, Kazakhstan is introducing a system of regional standards to support more accurate planning of settlements.
Officials also emphasized the importance of prioritizing domestic manufacturers.
As part of the national project for modernization of housing, utilities, and energy, the plan includes construction and renovation of 86,000 kilometers of utility networks, as well as the launch of new power generation sources totaling 7.3 GW,
Aqorda reported.
Officials are also in talks with multinational companies about jointly managing utility systems. The key objective is to ensure a stable water supply and reliable wastewater services.
President Toqayev stressed that balanced regional development remains a national priority.
He instructed officials to accelerate the digitalization of the housing and utilities sector, implement a unified digital ecosystem, apply water-saving technologies, and modernize engineering infrastructure as soon as possible.
