Toqayev Awards Patriarch Kirill the Altyn Qyran Order in Astana

Qasym-Jomart Toqayev presented Patriarch Kirill with the Altyn Qyran Order for his role in strengthening spiritual ties between Kazakhstan and Russia, Orda.kz reports.
The President met with the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia during his visit to Astana for the VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

Toqayev said.
Patriarch Kirill expressed gratitude for the award and hospitality, emphasizing Kazakhstan’s importance as a partner.
We have lived together for centuries. Now the countries are different, but this does not prevent us from maintaining friendship, mutual support and cooperation,
he stated.
The Altyn Qyran (Golden Eagle) Order is one of Kazakhstan’s highest honors, awarded for exceptional contributions to independence, sovereignty, and the development of international relations.
