Toqayev Awards Metropolitan Alexander with Dostyq Order

President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev has congratulated Orthodox Christians on Easter and recognized Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan for his contribution to spiritual and cultural life, Orda.kz reports.
In honor of the 15th anniversary of the Metropolitan’s service in Kazakhstan, and for his efforts in promoting peace and harmony, Toqayev awarded him the Dostyq Order (the Order of Friendship) of 1st degree.
The President also highlighted the Orthodox Church’s important role in educating youth, preserving cultural heritage, and upholding traditional family values.
