Toqayev Arrives in Washington for C5+1 Summit

Kazakh President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev arrived in the United States, where he was met by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, Orda.kz reports, citing Aqorda.
During his visit, Toqayev met with Kazakh students studying in the United States.




Today, the president is scheduled to hold talks with U.S. President Donald Trump and take part in the Central Asia–U.S. (C5+1) Summit.
This marks the second C5+1 meeting, following the 2023 session in New York held during the UN General Assembly under then-President Joe Biden.
Discussions are expected to focus on economic cooperation, joint projects in energy, digitalization, transportation, and the extraction and processing of minerals.
