Toqayev Arrives in Ashgabat for Forum on Peace and Trust

President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev has arrived in Ashgabat to take part in a forum marking the International Year of Peace and Trust, Orda.kz reports.
At the airport, Toqayev was met by the Chair of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.




The two leaders briefly spoke, with Toqayev expressing confidence that the forum would help strengthen an atmosphere of friendship and cooperation in Central Asia. Berdimuhamedow, for his part, thanked the Kazakh president for his personal role in deepening bilateral ties between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
Later, Toqayev held talks with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed boosting mutual trade, expanding economic cooperation, and advancing joint projects in energy, transport, logistics, and agriculture.
At the end of November, Serdar Berdimuhamedow paid an official visit to Astana. Orda.kz previously reported in detail on the agreements reached during those talks.
