Aqorda published a decree by President Toqayev "on certain issues of digitalization in Kazakhstan," Orda.kz reports.
According to the decree, government agencies and quasi-government companies will no longer be able to create new information systems outside the QazTech e-government platform.
If, for any reason, it is impossible to implement a project on QazTech, each such case will be reviewed separately by a special commission under the president.
The change comes into force on January 1, 2026. The presidential administration is responsible for overseeing its implementation.
