Toqayev Appoints New Vice Minister of Internal Affairs

The President appointed Sanjar Adilov, who headed the Qaraganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after Beisenov, as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Orda.kz reports.
Qasym-Jomart Toqayev's order on the appointment of Sanjar Adilov is on the President's official website.
Adilov is known for speaking at briefings on the tragic events of January 2022. At that time, he was the head of the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Sanjar Adilov began serving in the internal affairs bodies in 1999 as an investigator and became a senior investigator. In 10 years, he became deputy head of investigations at the Bostandyq and later Auezov district police departments in Almaty.
From 2009 to 2012, he headed the Investigative Department of the Department for Combating Economic and Corruption Crime (Financial Police) in Almaty. In 2012, he became Deputy Chief, then Chief of the Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In December 2013, he was appointed deputy head of the Department of Internal Affairs in Astana. Five years later, he headed the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where he served for five years.
In May 2023, he became the head of the Qaraganda Region Police Department. In March 2024, he became the head of the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, named after Beisenov.
In early October, former First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Marat Kozhaev became a senator.
