Toqayev Appoints Former Anti-Corruption Service Head as Deputy Prosecutor General

President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev has appointed Askhat Zhumagali as Deputy Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan, Orda.kz reports.
Zhumagali previously headed the Anti-Corruption Service from April 2023 until July 2025, when the agency was dissolved and integrated into the National Security Committee (KNB).
Before that, he served as Deputy Head of the Anti-Corruption Agency, led regional anti-corruption departments, and worked at the Prosecutor General’s Office.
