Toqayev and Putin Meet in Dushanbe

Presidents Qasym-Jomart Toqayev and Vladimir Putin held talks in Dushanbe on the sidelines of the CIS Heads of State Council meeting, discussing the strengthening of Russian-Kazakh relations.
Putin thanked Toqayev for his constructive stance, while the Kazakh president called his upcoming visit to Russia on November 12 a milestone in the partnership between the two countries.
We are natural allies. Russia and Kazakhstan share the longest land border. We are destined for an eternal alliance and strategic partnership, in the best sense of the word, Toqayev said.
He also highlighted the recent Kazakh cultural festival in Moscow as a reflection of the countries’ enduring friendship. During his November visit, Toqayev added, Kazakhstan plans to hold direct talks with Rosatom on the construction of a nuclear power plant.
