Qasym-Jomart Toqayev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan consider it necessary to resolve all conflicts and contradictions peacefully, based on diplomatic negotiations. They announced this at a media briefing, Orda.kz reports, citing Aqorda.
Qasym-Jomart Toqayev noted the special role of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in resolving the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
This is a convincing testimony of your authority and influence. Our countries share a common view on the need to reform the UN. Kazakhstan defends the need to preserve the territorial integrity of all countries. Kazakhstan and Türkiye will continue effective cooperation in the international arena. Kazakhstan's diplomacy will pay special attention to the further development of the Organization of Turkic Speaking States. We will continue to work together with the Turkish side in this direction and join efforts in the name of ensuring global stability and security. I express special gratitude for the support of Kazakhstan's international initiatives, including Türkiye's contribution to the work of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia,
the President of Kazakhstan summed up.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan noted that the completed negotiations were fruitful.
Kazakhstan is the largest economy in the region and our main trading partner. Today, we exchanged views on a wide range of areas - from defense and energy to transport, science and technology. We discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of mining and rare metals, the possibility of exporting Kazakh oil to the world market through our country. We also discussed ways to use and develop the Trans-Caspian transport route - a modern analogue of the historical Silk Road,
the President of Türkiye reported.
Qasym-Jomart Toqayev invited him to visit Kazakhstan at a convenient time.
During his visit to Ankara, the President of Kazakhstan was awarded the highest state award of the Republic of Türkiye, the Devlet Nişanı Order.
Notably, Qasym-Jomart Toqayev has previously forgone accepting domestic or foreign awards.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan noted the significant contribution of the President of Kazakhstan to strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
Türkiye is sincerely pleased with the achievements of fraternal Kazakhstan. Your country's contribution to the institutionalization of the Organization of Turkic Speaking States also deserves high praise. You have repeatedly proven that you are a true friend of Türkiye and the Turkish people. That is why I consider it a great honor to present you with the highest award of the Turkish Republic. I am confident that this order will become a symbol of the unbreakable friendship between our countries,
said the Turkish President while presenting the award.
Qasym-Jomart Toqayev expressed gratitude to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the entire Turkish people.
He also noted that it was a great honor for him to accept the highest state award of the Republic of Türkiye:
I have forgone accepting domestic or foreign orders and other awards. However, your decision today has special significance. This is a significant historical event in the annals of Kazakh-Turkish cooperation. You have once again confirmed your firm commitment to the precepts of our ancestors, strengthening the main asset of the two peoples - the bonds of friendship and brotherhood passed down from generation to generation. I regard this high award as a sign of deep respect of the Turkish side for all the people of Kazakhstan. This commendable initiative is a symbol of the unshakable friendship between our countries, which have common roots, religion and mentality, as well as an important step that meets the spirit of our values. It also reflects a mutual desire to further strengthen Kazakh-Turkish strategic cooperation,
said the President of Kazakhstan.
