Today, Qasym-Jomart Toqayev received Masatsugu Asakawa, the head of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The interlocutors discussed the details of the Qyzylorda—Jezkazgan Highway project. The guest noted that he "welcomes Kazakhstan's successes in the field of economic reforms and sustainable development."
ADB is interested in large joint projects - the bank wants to develop infrastructure in our country.
The President noted in the spring and summer that the country's road network needs modernization.
The parties plan to sign an agreement to finance the construction of the Qyzylorda-Jezkazgan highway with a total cost of more than 300 million dollars.
Aqorda emphasized that ADB has already invested about $7 billion in joint projects. For example, the bank helped build the Western Europe – Western China corridor.
