Top Manager of KazMunayGas Subsidiary Convicted of Multi-Million Tenge Theft

A court in Mangystau Region has delivered a verdict in a high-profile embezzlement case involving KazMunayGas’s subsidiary Oil Services Company, Orda.kz reports.
Investigators established that company executives colluded with contractors during the acceptance of equipment, siphoning 23 million tenge from the budget.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office:
The court found three defendants guilty. The deputy director was sentenced to seven years in prison. The head of the department and the director of the contractor received two years and four months.
The defendants fully reimbursed the state for the damages. The verdict has already entered into legal force.
