The social network removed the track after the Ministry of Culture contacted the online platform's administration, Orda reports, citing TASS.
The Ministry sent similar requests to several internet resources and online platforms.
Vice Minister of Culture and Information Yevgeny Kochetov stated that the song or its fragments "were identified on 22 foreign internet resources and online platforms, including TikTok (12 instances), YouTube (8), and VKontakte (2)."
Notifications have been sent to the administrations of all internet resources and online platforms regarding all identified materials, requesting measures to eliminate the violations, the Deputy Minister of Culture clarified.
On January 17, police conducted a search and detained Temirlan Yensebek, who runs the satirical page QazNews24.
Two days later, he was sent to a pre-trial detention center under suspicion of violating Article 174 of Kazakhstan's Criminal Code - for posting the song "Yo, Orystar (Yo, Russians)," allegedly containing elements of inciting ethnic discord.
