A Tien Shan brown bear has once again been caught on camera in Sairam-Ugam National Park, located in Kazakhstan’s Turkistan region, Orda.kz reports.
According to the Forestry and Wildlife Committee, the rare bear was recorded at the end of April by a camera trap installed in the park. The Tien Shan brown bear is listed in Kazakhstan’s Red Book of endangered species.
In recent years, the number of bears in the national park has been steadily growing. However, it is worth considering that this is a predatory animal. In this regard, the national park staff warns visitors about the need to take safety measures when meeting bears and to avoid any actions that may disturb the animal,
the committee noted.
Earlier this month, a Tien Shan brown bear was also seen on video in the Qolsay Lakes National Park, appearing to “pose” for the camera.
