Three outdated railway station buildings in the Mangystau region will be dismantled and replaced with new structures, Orda.kz reports, citing the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan.
Transport Minister Marat Karabayev inspected the progress of the work during a visit to the Mangystau station.

The project is part of the Head of State's directive to improve access to tourist locations. The facility will be built in a modern style. The building will consist of three floors. Particular attention will be given to creating comfortable conditions for people with special needs. There will also be rooms for long-term passenger stays, mother-and-child rooms, and much more, Karabayev said.

He added that the creation of modern, comfortable stations is expected to boost passenger traffic and promote tourism in the region.
According to the Ministry, the size of the Mangystau and Beineu stations will be expanded tenfold, while the Shetpe station will grow five times larger.

In addition, railway workers plan to modernize the 404-kilometer Beineu–Mangystau section in 2025.
A new train control system (automatic blocking) will also be installed on the Shalkar–Beineu and Mangystau–Ozen sections, covering a total of 651 kilometers.

This project is part of a broader national program to build and renovate 125 railway stations across Kazakhstan, including 21 located at key tourist destinations, all in line with the President’s initiative to enhance tourism accessibility.
