Three Injured in Fire at Bolashak Mine in Aqtobe Region

A fire broke out on the evening of May 26 at the Bolashak mine, part of the Donskoy Mining and Processing Plant in the Khromtau district. Three electrical fitters were injured during the incident, Orda.kz reports.
The workers were installing equipment at the time of the fire.
Employees suffered burns to their faces and hands. The company's management is in constant contact with doctors and relatives,
Kazchrome, a subsidiary of ERG, commented on the incident.
The regional Department of Emergency Situations reported that the injured workers were promptly brought to the surface and transported to the Khromtau regional hospital.
At approximately 22:30, a hydrogen gas emission occurred at the Bolashak mine. At 23:50, the injured people were handed over to the ambulance team. All workers were evacuated to a safe zone. An operational headquarters has been set up at the crisis center. A hotline has been opened for residents and relatives — 8 (7132) 54-86-82. At the moment, no calls have been received,
officials from the Aqtobe Region Emergency Department stated.
Two of the injured miners are currently in critical condition in intensive care. The third is being treated in the trauma unit, with his condition described as moderate to severe.
