Qasym-Jomart Toqayev, speaking at the ceremonial presentation of state awards on the occasion of Republic Day, discussed the role of the first president, Nursultan Nazarbayev, in Kazakhstan's socio-political life, Orda.kz reports, citing Aqorda.
The President again spoke about "Law and Order" in Kazakhstan. According to him, peace and progress begin with upbringing in the family, cleanliness in the streets, and harmony in society. According to the President, law and order should become fundamental for all Kazakhstanis.
The law is needed to protect the rights and freedoms of citizens and ensure order in society. Of course, there will always be people who are dissatisfied with what they see as harsh laws and who claim that the screws are being 'tightened.' But those who want to live in impunity and permissiveness are, in fact, against the interests of the people and the country. The state will continue to take measures to implement the principle of 'zero tolerance' for offenses and will toughly combat lawlessness and organized crime, said Qasym-Jomart Toqayev
The President stated that the joint construction of a Fair Kazakhstan should unite society and enhance the country's authority on the world stage. The Head of State also highlighted the role of his predecessor.
People are waiting for justice in all spheres. To achieve this, everyone must start, first of all, with themselves. Then, both society and the entire state system will be fair. On this main holiday for the country, we must also note the merits of the first president Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev. He played a decisive historical role in the formation of modern Kazakh statehood. His merits should not be forgotten, Qasym-Jomart Toqayev said.
The President presented state awards to Kazakhstanis who had significantly contributed to the country's development.
