The Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge Was Lit up in The Colours of The Kazakh Flag.

The Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Istanbul celebrated the Day of the Republic this way. The bridge connecting Asia and Europe is considered a symbol of Istanbul.
The yellow-turquoise lights turned on after a signal was given by the celebrants. The event took place off the coast of the Bosphorus, on the ship "Valide Sultan".
The celebration was attended by citizens of Kazakhstan and students living in Istanbul, Bursa, Izmir and Sakarya.
Consul General of Kazakhstan, Alim Bayel, opened the event. He stressed the importance of Republic Day and noted the development of relations between the two countries.
