Technical Problems Arose at Atyrau Oil Refinery

Technical problems occurred at the Atyrau Oil Refinery on the morning of November 29, Orda.kz reports.
The company's press service confirmed that the incident occurred at 9:57 at the Naphtha HT gasoline hydrotreatment unit.
The safety valve on the stripping column, a device used to separate dissolved gases from oil mixtures, was triggered, and the excess gas that formed was sent to be burned in the flare system.
The technological process has now been stabilized in strict accordance with the regulations. We confirm that this event did not affect the operating mode of the plant, the technological process continues as usual, the company reported.
Experts are investigating why the valve was triggered.
The work is being carried out in accordance with regulatory documents and industrial safety standards.
The plant said it would provide more detailed information about what happened after the necessary inspections.
