Talgar: Intoxicated Father Who Fatally Stabbed His Daughter Detained Immediately

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Sanzhar Adilov has responded to public concern following the Homicide of a 15-year-old girl in the Almaty region. The case, he confirmed, is being investigated under Article 99 of the Criminal Code (“Homicide”), Orda.kz reports.
The suspect was taken into custody. The Homicide weapon — a knife — was seized. The suspect was intoxicated, and police quickly examined the scene and detained the man on the spot,
said Sanzhar Adilov.
He added that the suspect is being held under a court order.
A full forensic examination is underway; after its completion, the father will undergo a psychiatric evaluation before the case is transferred to court.
Adilov stressed that the crime falls under the category of severe offenses.
The incident occurred on October 24 in the village of Tuzdybastau, Talgar district. A man, reportedly intoxicated, attacked his 15-year-old daughter in their home and stabbed her 16 times, resulting in her death.
