On April 21, 2025, Tajikistan and Türkiye held bilateral consular consultations in Ankara, Orda.kz reports, citing Tajikistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The delegations, led by Bahodur Safarzoda from Tajikistan’s Foreign Ministry and Fatma Ceren Yazgan from Türkiye’s Foreign Ministry, discussed simplifying visa procedures, protecting citizens' rights, and legal cooperation.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation and maintaining constructive dialogue.
Since April 20, 2024, Tajik citizens have been required to obtain a visa to enter Türkiye, following the cancellation of the long-standing visa-free agreement between the two countries.
