Swiss Company Proposes to Find White Hydrogen Deposits in Kazakhstan
A Swiss company has offered Kazakhstan its technologies for searching for underground resources on the country’s territory, Orda.kz reports, citing the Ministry of Industry and Construction.
Minister of Industry and Trade Kanat Sharlapayev met in Astana with representatives of a Swiss company that specializes in remote sensing of subsurface resources using electromagnetic exploration and space images.
The company uses its technologies to search for sources of fresh water, precious metals such as gold and diamonds, rare metals, as well as to assess the environmental situation and monitor climate change.
The meeting participants expressed their readiness to work together to search for white hydrogen, The Ministry of Industry and Trade noted.
White hydrogen has been called the fuel of the future.
This type of hydrogen occurs naturally as a gas that can be found in underground deposits. Unlike synthetic hydrogen, which is produced through chemical processes, white hydrogen is extracted from natural sources, making it a potential clean energy source for the future, the ministry's press service reported.
The company has unveiled its geophysical spectral analysis platform, enabling exploration.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that Minister Kanat Sharlapayev was interested in the Swiss company’s development.
