Suspect in Shooting of Former Ukrainian Speaker Andriy Parubiy Detained

The suspect in the assassination of MP and former Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy has been detained in the Khmelnytskyi region, Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klimenko announced, Orda.kz reports.
Just 24 hours after the killing, law enforcement tracked the suspect and arrested him 36 hours after the crime.
Klimenko thanked all those involved for their “brilliant work,” noting that both the investigation and detention were carried out under the personal control of the President of Ukraine.
Parubiy was shot dead on August 30 in Lviv.
