Supreme Audit Chamber Reports 862 Billion Tenge in Budget Violations for 2024

The Supreme Audit Chamber (SAC) has identified new issues in state budget spending, Orda.kz reports.
Parliament has reviewed reports from the government and the SAC on the execution of the 2024 republican budget.
According to the SAC, inefficient use of budget funds and assets nearly doubled compared to the previous year.
The total value of violations identified reached 862 billion tenge.
According to the SAC, the total volume of violations identified for 2024 amounted to 862 billion tenge. The volume of inefficient use of budget funds and assets has almost doubled,
said Majilis deputy Tatyana Savelyeva during a plenary session.
Preliminary estimates place GDP growth at 4.8% for 2024, 0.5 percentage points below the target outlined in the socio-economic development forecast.
Government figures show that republican budget revenues reached 19.6 trillion tenge, or 97.2% of the planned amount. Expenditures were 23 trillion tenge, amounting to 98.4% of the plan.
The resulting budget deficit was 3.6 trillion tenge, or 2.7% of GDP.
Revenues to the National Fund for 2024 totaled 3.8 trillion tenge, meeting 85% of the planned figure.
The above, as well as other economic and budgetary indicators, will be analyzed as part of the review of the reports. (...) The Finance and Budget Committee is ready to prepare a conclusion on the above reports.
