Supporting Farmers and Boosting the Economy: Bektenov Reports to Toqayev on Government Progress

President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev met with Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, who briefed him on the government's efforts toward economic modernization and sustainable socio-economic development, Orda.kz reports, citing Aqorda.
Key points:
- 45 major industrial projects are currently underway, with a total investment volume of 2.3 trillion tenge
- Bektenov reiterated the goals Toqayev outlined during the Security Council meeting, emphasizing continued work on modernizing the transport sector
- He also noted ongoing upgrades to the energy and public utilities infrastructure
The Prime Minister highlighted agricultural priorities:
- The sown area across the country has reached 23.7 million hectares
- Both the planting campaign and harvest preparations are complete, and the government is providing support to the agricultural sector
- Water resource needs for farmers remain under close supervision, with regional task forces actively working on the ground
