Strongest Militaries: Kazakhstan Ranks 22nd
Kazakhstan has ranked 22nd in the world ranking of countries by army strength, according to US News. Among the post-Soviet countries, Kazakhstan was fifth in terms of military power, Orda.kz reports.
US News describes Kazakhstan as the country with the most powerful economy in Central Asia, rich natural resources, and an ethnically diverse population. Regarding military strength, Kazakhstan is in 22nd place globally and second among Central Asian countries. Uzbekistan is first regionally and 19th globally.
US News unexpectedly named the Russian army the strongest in the world, with the US army in second place and the Israeli army in third.
The top 10 also included China, South Korea, Iran, Great Britain, Ukraine, Germany, and Türkiye. Kazakhstan is ahead of Poland, the UAE, and Azerbaijan but is behind Lebanon, Serbia, Belarus, and Vietnam.
