Yerbol Myrzabosynov explained why he dismissed sports officials in several regions, Orda.kz reports.
On the sidelines of the Majilis, Myrzabosynov discussed dismissing heads of sports departments in more than ten regions.
There is an objective approach here. In recent years, from the number of licenses to medals at the Olympic Games, the results have dropped significantly. The ministry has created a commission, which includes deputies, representatives of public associations and departments, said Yerbol Myrzabosynov.
The main criterion for candidates for leadership positions is that the person must have a sports background:
This should be someone who knows the basics of sports management, a person who has mastered certain areas of theory and training methods. Based on these criteria, we will identify candidates and recommend them to Akimats. We all work for the benefit of the state, with the right indicators of regional development there will be no conflict of interest because we are already determining priority sports within each region,
the minister added.
These will be sports included in the Olympic and Paralympic programs and national sports.
There is no misunderstanding here. Now the regions will not compete with each other. Each region will be given a specific task, what sports it develops and what product it should present at the republican level, the minister concluded.
The Minister added that the results of the Olympic and Paralympic Games are often discussed in society.
He says, "People can say whatever they want, but no one can be held accountable based on comments alone."
Meanwhile, rumors have appeared online that he owes his career advancement to the Izbastin family.
An Orda.kz correspondent personally contacted him for a comment on this matter.
Anonymous Telegram channels are circulating unconfirmed information that the Minister is in a relationship with Dana Medeuova, a relative of the Izbastin family. This concerns the family of Temirtay Izbastin, an in-law of the President of Kazakhstan Qasym-Jomart Toqayev.
Yerbol Myrzabosynov stated that he built a career in sports from an early age and achieved success independently.
I have gone through all the stages and steps of a sports career and science, and I have neither part nor lot in this information. Otherwise, everyone would have known about it long ago,
said the head of the Ministry of Tourism.
We have previously written that the Minister of Tourism and Sports has not appeared publicly since his appointment.
