Six Years for Abuse: Saken Mamash’s Sentence Upheld

The Criminal Division of the Astana City Court has upheld the sentence of Saken Mamash, a former adviser to the Kazakh Embassy in the UAE, who was accused of abusing and torturing his ex-wife, Karina Gosman, Orda.kz reports.
The appeal filed by Mamash’s lawyers was dismissed. Karina Gosman’s lawyers announced this today.
Saken Mamash’s sentence was handed down on July 18 of this year.
On the eve of the trial, Gosman addressed Kazakhstani women and shared her story in an exclusive interview with Orda.kz.
