Single Time Zone: Health Ministry to Conduct 2 Studies on Impact
Health Minister Aqmaral Alnazarova, on the sidelines of the Majilis, explained what her department plans to do with a grant from the Ministry of Science, Orda.kz reports.
The Ministry of Health is not abandoning the three-year study, for which it requested 160 million tenge. But now they plan to spend only 50 million.
The goal is not only to study the issues of health changes or the impact on the health of the population after the time change, but also other issues. Therefore, the study will last for three years, said Aqmaral Alnazarova.
An accelerated program will be conducted in parallel with the main study.
A Majilis order has created a working group.
It will provide preliminary results by March 1, 2025. The project involves the Mental Health Center, the National Center for Public Health, and the Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University.
We will promptly analyze the data for 2024 and present their most concise conclusions, added Alnazarova.
Two studies will be carried out within one budget of 50 million tenge.
On December 24, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education announced the competition for the 2025–2027 program-targeted financing of scientific programs on its website.
