Shymkent Deputy Akim Ruslan Berdenov Shares Status on Instagram

Deputy Akim of Shymkent Ruslan Berdenov, who survived an armed attack, shared an update on Instagram about his recovery and expressed gratitude for the support, Orda.kz reports.
This sudden incident became a serious test for me, my family and loved ones. It is difficult to express such things in words. However, during this difficult time, I felt sincere support, participation and good wishes from many people - colleagues, friends, acquaintances. Calls, messages, warm words on social networks became a real support for me, gave me strength and helped me recover mentally,
wrote Berdenov.
After spending three weeks in the hospital, the condition of the injured Deputy Akim stabilized. He also offered special thanks to the medical staff.
I am preparing to return to everyday life. First of all, thanks to the Almighty, as well as the attention and professionalism of our doctors, my health has been restored. During this time, I have become convinced that Kazakhstani medicine has made a big step forward and is in no way inferior to foreign clinics. Our doctors are truly respectable, kind and highly professional people.
Recently, Margulan Seisenbayev posted a photo of Berdenov in the hospital.
The attempt on Ruslan Berdenov’s life occurred on April 21. He was shot five times as he exited the Akimat building. Berdenov sustained three injuries and underwent surgery the same day.
The shooter was identified as Yernar Zhiembay, a former subordinate of the deputy akim.
