Sherzat Polat: Trial to Proceed in Open Court
Defense attorneys were informed that the trial will be held in an open format, Orda reports.
The Supreme Court also ruled that the trial will be public. It has also been confirmed that there are nine suspects in the case.
Outside the courthouse, Perizat Nurymova explained why the family of the late Sherzat Polat decided to stop working with Aitbek Amangeldy.
We dismissed Aitbek Amangeldy, but not legal representation. Personally, I’m dissatisfied with the work of Aitbek’s team — they didn’t give us a full explanation of the legal process,
she told reporters.
The preliminary hearing in the high-profile homicide case of Sherzat is being held today.
