Sexual Abuse Case in Taraz: Suspect Arrested

A resident of Taraz is suspected of sexually abusing his 15-year-old relative, Orda.kz correspondent reports.
Recently, the victim's mother reported that her daughter had been abused by her relative for over a year.
The woman was outraged that the suspect had remained free, allegedly pressuring the family and even threatening to commit suicide. Additionally, it was revealed that the girl had been interrogated without a legal representative present.
Today, police confirmed to Orda.kz that a criminal case has been opened under Article 121 of the Criminal Code, and the court has already ruled to place the suspect in custody.
The suspect faces up to 17 years in prison.
